FAQs

What’s the average age of guests at Kite Soul Collective?

Our guests range from 18 to 55 years old, but most are between 25 and 40 — adventurous riders who love the ocean, the wind, and authentic travel experiences. Whether you’re solo or with friends, you’ll find your tribe here.

Absolutely! Many of our guests travel solo. Everything is organized so you can ride, explore, and connect with like-minded people. You’ll arrive solo and leave with a group of friends from around the world.

Expect to return home recharged — with more energy, strength, and mental clarity. Most guests notice improved balance, focus, confidence, and a deep sense of happiness after a week of wind, waves, and community.

The Caribbean coast enjoys sunny weather year-round:

  • Air temperature: 27–32°C (80–89°F)

  • Water temperature: 26–29°C (79–84°F) — no wetsuit needed!

  • Wind season: December to August in La Guajira; January to May from Cartagena to Salinas del Rey.

Our trips are designed for riders who have already completed a kitesurfing course, from beginner to advanced level, and want to continue improving.

If you can already ride, control your kite, or are looking to progress, explore new spots, or work on tricks and downwinders — this trip is for you.

Our yoga sessions focus on Vinyasa Flow — dynamic, energizing, and grounding. Perfect to stretch, recover, and balance your kitesurf sessions. Classes are open to all levels and guided by experienced instructors.

Of course. This is a fun and relaxed experience, not a strict retreat. Enjoy a sunset beer or a glass of wine after a day full of wind and saltwater — it’s all about balance and good vibes.

Keep it light and comfy — boardshorts, bikinis, rash guards, hats, sunglasses straps, and breathable clothing.

No wetsuit needed! Don’t forget reef-safe sunscreen, mosquito repellent, and a reusable bottle. The vibe is laid-back and barefoot-friendly.

The strong wind season runs from December to May along the coast from Cartagena to Salinas del Rey, with a short wind break (veranillo) in June and July.

In Cabo de la Vela and Punta Gallinas, you can ride almost all year round, except for October and November, when winds tend to calm down.

You can bring your own equipment or rent premium gear through our partners.

  • Average kite sizes: 7m–12m, depending on the wind conditions.

  • Boards: twin-tip boards — bring yours if you prefer, or rent from us. We work with COGUA, offering high-performance, Colombian-made boards crafted for all riding styles.
